Roger Douglas Widner 69 of Hickory died Monday, January 1, 2024 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born , April 28th, 1954 he was the son of Douglas Widner and Alice Khal.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Becky Widner; son, Eric Widner and wife Andrea; daughter, Demi Sprouse and husband Jason; grandchildren, Aria Widner, Nolan Sprouse, and Julian Sprouse; siblings, Jonathan Kahl, Candace Moore, Doug Widner, Jason Widner, And Veronica Hession.
Roger is preceded him by his father, Douglas Widner; mother, Alice Kahl; stepfather Buddy Kahl; and brother, Randy Widner.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
