Ronald Fulbright

Ronald J. (Gene) Fulbright, 70 of Vale, went to meet his Lord at his residence, Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born March 9, 1942 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Joseph Lester Fulbright and Laura Mittie Ward Fulbright.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grand-father and great grand-father.
In addition to his wife of 35 years, Helen Ann Wright Fulbright of the home; a daughter, Georgetta Williams and husband Dennis of Vale; a son, Robert A. Smith of Vale; a brother, Lester Fulbright and wife Elva of Vale; a grandson, Adam Martin of Vale; a great grand daughter, Jordann Huss of Vale; several nieces and nephews and a special nephew, Tim Fulbright survive him.
Two sisters, Lorene Smith and Nellie Ruth Weaver and two brothers, Bobby Fulbright and Joe Fulbright preceded him in death.
The funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Laurel Hill United Methodist Church with Pastor Jennifer Hege officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the church.
Pallbearers include Gary Gantt, Ronnie Fulbright, Michael Fulbright, Tim Fulbright, Rick Houser and Jamie Wright. Honorary Pallbearer will be Adam Martin.
Memorials may be made to Laurel Hill United Methodist Church, 731 North Hwy 18, Vale, NC 28168.
