Ronald Sain

Ronald Steven Sain “Ronnie” to his family and friends, 78, of Hickory, North Carolina went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday January 24, 2024. He was proceeded in death by his stepson Wayne Stansel, his stepdaughter Angela Pennell, and his grandson Derrick Lowe.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Sain, sister Sheila Rainey, brothers Larry and Dennis Sain, stepson’s Steven Stansel and wife Candice, Bobby Stansel and wife Cora, stepdaughter’s Jody Holland, Jenny Taylor and husband William Taylor, as well as 21 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Ronnie was born to the late Houston Sain and Henrietta Hudson Sain on March 12, 1945. A Veteran of the Vietnam War loved working with his hands. Whether he was teaching his grandson Austin how to work on equipment or just playing in the dirt was sure to be a good time. He loved to joke around and was a fantastic storyteller.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 4pm in the Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel.
