Ronnie Turner

Ronnie Keith Turner, 59, of Hickory was called home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, Saturday, November 18th, 2017 at Mission Hospital. Born July 6th, 1958 he was the son of the late Herman Clay Turner and Mary Frances Brackett Turner. Ronnie was a Sergeant in the 82nd Airborne 101st Division of the Army. He loved wildlife and admired all of God's creations from the solar system to the tiniest of insects. He used his expert knowledge of animals to teach and share with others. Ronnie Loved his family very much and always put them first.    In addition to his parents, a sister Sherry Turner Reitzel and his brother Rickey Clay Turner preceded him in death.   He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sandy Rose Turner of the home; a daughter Amber Rudisill of Durham; a son Joshua Rudisill of Durham; a sister Jackie Sawyer and husband Bill of Hickory; and a brother Jimmy Turner of Boise, Idaho.  In memory of Ronnie, the family request you spend a moment of solitude in nature.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org Please sign the online guestbook at www.jenkinsfuneralhome.net.
