Ruby Bowlin

Ruby Bowlin, 93 of Newton went home to be with Jesus, Saturday, September 30th, 2017 at her residence. Born September 6th, 1924 she was the daughter of the late John Rutherford and  Martha Ayers Rutherford. She was a devout Christian lady that everyone loved and she loved deeply.  Five daughters, Ella Heatherly and husband Jackie, Jacksboro, TN, Mary Mynatt of LaFollette, TN, Jewell Thompson and husband Bill of Wenatchee, WA, Martha Harris and husband Kevin of Newton, Rosetta Fisher and husband Chuck of Sherrills Ford; a son, Tommy Bowlin and girlfriend, Renee White of Harmony, NC; a special granddaughter, Michelle Yates and husband Eddie of Claremont; 21 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and over 100 offspring survive her. A great granddaughter, Danielle Hasson, a sister and a brother preceded her in death. The funeral will be 2:00 pm Friday, October 6th, 2017 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Goudelock and Pastor Warren Marcum officiating. Burial will follow at Conover Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 PM Thursday, October 5th, 2017 at the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.   Memorials may be made to Gideons International.
