Ruby Eller

Ruby Aileen Travis Eller, 82 of Hickory went to be with the Lord and is now dancing on the streets of gold, Saturday, April 25th, 2015 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born January 30th, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Eullen Eugene Travis and Darcus Beaulah Benson Travis. Three daughters, Nellie Diane Houston of Hickory, Bobbie Lynn Reep of Newton and Tammy Fox and husband Maurice of Granite Falls; two sisters, Kathleen Bolick and husband Ray of Hickory and Peggy Travis of Hickory; two brothers, Tony Travis of Vale, NC and Olen Travis and wife Joyce of Hickory; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren survive her. In addition to her husband, Bobby Stewart Eller, a brother, Joby McCrary and two sisters, Ruth Cloninger and Mildred Travis preceded her in death. The funeral will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 29th, 2015 at Eastern Sky Church of God with Pastor Warren Marcum and Pastor Ronald Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Tuesday, April 28th, 2015 at Jenkins Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Catawba Regional Hospice 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
