Rudolf Schroeter

Rudolf Schroeter 81 of Hickory died Thursday, July 5th, 2018 at Catawba Regional Hospice. He was born April 13th, 1937 German occupied Prussia. He immigrated to the United States in 1962. Shortly after he met his first wife, Ilona Schumacher and had their only son, Curt. He was a baker by trade and later was trained to be a dental technician.

His wife of 20 years, Boonchoo Black of the home; a son, Curt Schroeter and wife Bethel Canterbury of Hickory; a step-daughter, Angele Gruber of Florida; a step-son, Dennis Black of Florida; a sister, Erika Scherr of Germany; two grandsons, James and Cody; two nieces, Martina and Karola and a nephew, Alexander and a grand niece, Lisa Di Lella survive him.

Five brothers and a grandson, Nathaniel Schroeter preceded him in death.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 4:00 pm Saturday, July 21st, 2018 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm-4:00 pm Saturday, July 21st, 2018 at the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.
