Ruth Graham

Ruth Muriel Graham 99 of Abernethy-Laurels, Newton, NC, passed Sunday, December 6, 2020. Born June 11, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Pride Gant Jones and Maude Redwine Jones. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Walt and son Barry. Ruth graduated from Catawba College. She worked and retired from Rowan County Schools as an elementary school teacher. She was a lifelong member of Second Presbyterian Church, Salisbury. Ruth loved preserving history through notebooks and albums. More than that, she loved people and sharing life's stories. She is survived by a sister, Jean Covington of Greensboro; a granddaughter, Laura Graham Stone of Raleigh; two great granddaughters, Ruth Ann and Katherine Grace of Raleigh; daughter-in-law, Melody Graham of Lincolnton; seven nieces, three nephews; and many friends.
