Samuel Adams

Samuel "Sam" Walker Adams, age 26 of Conover died Saturday August 3rd, 2013 at his residence. Born November 27th, 1986 he was the son of Neal Christopher Adams and Brenda Jean Adams. "For those of you who were fortunate to have been touched by my son's kindness, generosity, hard work,intelligence and insight, I want you to know he took his own life this morning. For those of you who did not know of all his fine traits, I am sorry for you. His love and concern for me despite all his own fears never ceased. I have no words right now other than I truly believe that nothing happens in this world that God doesn't allow. My only comfort is knowing without question where Sam is right now and knowing that he is finally at peace. Many people talk about my strength in this, however, I want you to know, this strength is not my own....it is only in knowing God personally that I can face this. There are times I crumble, but His presence brings me up. I have to admit I am not feeling "peace like a river yet" but I know He is there." His mother, Brenda Jean Adams of Conover, a sister, Brendyl Jessica Smith and husband Bryan of Hickory, maternal grandfather, William Howard Barnard of Middlebury, VT; two nephews, Noah Smith and Andrew Smith survive him. His maternal grandmother, Jean Thompson Barnard preceded him in death. A Private gathering of family will be Wednesday at Jenkins Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in New Jersey.
