Scott Travis

Scott Anthony Travis, 55, of Newton passed away Saturday, May 19th, 2018 at his home. Born November 12th, 1962 he was the son of Tony Travis and Linda Smyre Travis. A loving husband to Cynthia, his wife of 22 years and father to daughter Sydney, Scott was an exceptionally skilled tufter/upholsterer at Wesley Hall. His humor, easygoing personality and love for life were evident to all. Scott was an avid Cowboys and Wolfpack fan and loved the sun, preferring to sit on his deck surrounded by family, friends and his dogs.

Scott is survived by his devoted wife Cynthia and daughter Sydney, parents Tony and Linda Smyre Travis, brother Keith and wife Charity, sister Deanna and husband Tom Moody, sister Jennifer, nephews Justin, Chris, Spencer and Charlie, nieces Jessica and Jenna. Scott will be grievously missed.

A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
