Shannon Peterson

Shannon Travis Peterson, 37, of Conover died Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born Wednesday, June 27th, 1984 he was the son of Randal Travis Peterson and Jan Peterson. He graduated from Newton Conover High School in 2002 and went on to work in the distribution field. Shannon was loved by all who met him. He was a devoted husband, compassionate father and loving son. Shannon and Nicole were a remarkable team who prioritized family values, morals and their Christian faith. Shannon grew up playing sports, so it's no surprise that he loved watching them as an adult. Football was his favorite and we all know who he cheered for.......GO BUCS!

His wife, Nicole Peterson; two children, Bryce and Bailey Peterson; his father, Randal Peterson and significant other, Patricia Sipe; his mother, Jan Peterson and significant other, David Conklin; siblings, Dustan Peterson and Chelsea Peterson; his grandmother, Helen Peterson and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins survive him.

His grandfathers, Edward Lee Peterson and Charles Oscar Sides and his grandmother, Reba Greene Sides preceded him in death.

A celebration of his will be 5:30P.M. Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Jenkins Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Bowman officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
