Sharon Norris

Sharon Denise Norris, 51, of Newton died Monday, June 6, 2022 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born November 14th, 1970 she was the daughter of Willie and Sarah Norris.

Her sons, Jamar Douglas Torrence (Keesha) of Taylorsville and Ometrius Deshaun Norris of Sherrills Ford; daughters, Sarah Mae Norris of Hickory and Marli Michelle Martin of Statesville; one brother, Brandon Bernard Norris; three nephews, Quiante Sherrod Derr of Sherrills Ford, Logan Norris of Newton and Ian Norris of Newton; two nieces, Adriana Monet Arroyo of Winston-Salem, Jada Lee Norris of Maiden; one granddaughter, Nyeesha Ashanti Torrence; four grandsons, Jamar Douglas Torrence Jr., Carter Legendary Torrence, DeCree Sulayman Woodbury and Solomon Elisha Woodbury; The Matriarch of the family, her great-aunt, Overseer C.S. Lattimore Cauthen and special cousins, Lakisha Smith Wright, Tinika McCorkle and Toni McCleave survive her.

In addition to her parents, her grandparents, Rev. Chester Arthur McCleave and Susan Smith McCleave; her sister, Yolanda Chunail Arroyo and her brother, Danny Norris preceded her in death.

A celebration of her life will be 3:00 P.M. Monday, June 13, 2022 at Jenkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
