Sharon Lynn (Davis) Ross, famously outspoken and immensely compassionate , passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022. She was 70 years old. Before relocating to Hickory, NC to be closer to her daughter and family, she was a long-time resident of Plymouth, IN. Sharon was born on October 28, 1951 to the late Robert and DonnaBelle (Holderman) Davis. She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1970. She married Gary Ross on October 27th, 1972.
Sharon was a nurse and started her career at Parkview Hospital in Plymouth, IN. She worked there for many years, took a break to deliver pizza, went back to nursing, took another pizza delivery break and finished her career in nursing. She loved Elvis, long naps, going for drives in the country with her husband, smoking cigarettes, giving her opinion whether you wanted it or not and being an advocate for those down on their luck. She became the family triage nurse, getting many calls and visits for various ailment assessments. She was good at what she did and loved helping people.
In her later years, her granddaughter, Tali brought her the biggest joy. She like getting visitors, but nobody quite as much as Tali. While her memory wasn't what it used to be, somehow, she was able to keep up with Tali's activities. An ideal day for her would be having a Big-Mac, a cigarette out in the warm sun and watching Tali galivant around.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Jeri (Michael) Lemke of Hickory, NC; granddaughter, Tali Lemke of Hickory, NC; her borhter, Steve (Rhee Ann) Davis of Plymouth, IN; sisters, Brenda (David) Feece of Greenwood, SC, Tammy (Chuck) Davis-Langford of Plymouth, IN; her mother-in-law, Norma Ross of Plymouth, sister-in-law, Linda King of Plymouth, IN; aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Gary, her sister, Roberta, her brothers Gary Davis and Dennis Davis, father-in-law, Esta "Bud" Ross and brother-in-law, Jon King, all of Plymouth, IN.
