Sheldon Hicks

Sheldon Mark Hicks, 57, of Hickory died Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born October 13, 1966 in Washington, D.C. he was the son of the late Rodger McCoy Hicks and Barbara Jean Dixion.

He loved to watch sports, but specifically tennis. Sheldon loved all types of music and going to concerts has always been a big part of his life. He was a huge Miami Dolphins fan. He was the biggest family prankster, and got a kick out of scaring his loved ones. He had a stuffed cat that he moved around the house to prank his family. He will forever be missed by his family.

He is survived by his two sons, Tyler (Kelly) and Justin. Three sisters, Reba, Michelle, and Crystal. Two aunts, Kim and Tamara. Much loved cousins and several nieces and nephews are left to cherish his memory.

A memorial service will scheduled at a later date.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.

Jenkins Funeral Home staff is not involved in the memorial service at the church.
