Shirley Cline

Shirley Kay Cline of Bum’s Drive, Newton died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born September 28, 1959 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Leroy Cline & Frances Pauline Massey Gross. Shirley worked at Regal Manufacturing for many years. She was a good wife and loving mother, sister and friend. A daughter, Randi “Danielle” Shook of the home; seven sisters, Doris “Dee” Cline Hughes of Dothan, Alabama, Melinda Cline of Long View, Teresa Paraham of Long View, Regina Shook of Newton, Doris James of Newton, Angela Newton of Lincolnton and Debbie Reed of Tennessee; five brothers, Tommy Cline Jr. of Conover, Mark Cline of Mountain View, Kenneth Cline of Conover and John Goodwin of Myrtle Beach, SC and David James of Newton and many nieces & nephews survive her. In addition to her parents; a sister, Mary Pearl Thompson preceded her in death. The family will gather privately at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 1, 2011.
