Shirley Ward

Shirley Marlene Hurdt Ward 49 of Hickory died Friday January 31st, 2014 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born February 21st, 1964 she was the daughter of the late Joseph Allen Hurdt and Marlene Ruby Hurdt. Two sons, Matthew Thomas Ward and wife Melinda of Newton, Joshua Allen Ward and wife Stacy of Icard; two daughters, Heather Nicole Ward of Hickory and Sierra Jade Simmons and husband Keith of Bessemer City; a sister, Christy Hurdt of Hickory; two brothers, David Hurdt and wife Christy of Earl, NC and Danny Hurdt and wife Anne of Patterson Springs, NC; a grandson Michael Kelly Ward and grandchildren to be born, Kai Joseph Ward, Aria Martin, Feora Martin and Rylan Simmons survive her. The funeral will be 3:30 pm Tuesday February 4th, 2014 at New Life Church on County Home Road with Pastor John Hays officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:30 pm Tuesday February 4th, 2014 at New Life Church.
