Song Her, 97 of Shady Grove Road, Connelly Springs died Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley. Born February 8, 1914 in Laos, she was the daughter of Za Cha Her. Four daughters, Mai Vang of Hickory, Bai Vang of Portland, Oregon, Teng Vang of Stockton, Ca., Sia Vang of Conover; Two sons, Kay Vang of Hickory and Seng Vang of Hickory survive her. The Hmong funeral will begin at 8:00 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2011and will conclude on Sunday, March 6, 2011 The family will receive friends during this time at Startown Gathering Center at Jenkins Funeral Home on Startown Road. Burial will follow at 12 noon Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Startown/Jenkins Cemetery. Condolence messages may be sent to www.jenkinsfuneralhome.net.
