SSG. Everett Joe Parris, 66, of Maiden passed away Thursday, September 14th, 2023 in Catawba County. Born, January 3rd, 1957 he was the son of the late Virgil and Viola Parris.

He is survived by his wife of four years, Donna Parris of the home; five children, Sonya Bennett (Joy) of Kentucky, Virgil Parris (Christina) of Bryson City, John Parris (Ally) of Bryson City, David Dunigan (Myra) of Thomasville, James Dunigan of Maiden; thirteen grandchildren, Nathanial, Daniel, Brandon, Konnor, Teagan, Cloie, Kailyn, Ford, Payton, Alice, Liam, Brody, and Leo; and a sister, Lillian Birchfield (John) of Hendersonville.

The family will receive friends from 3-4PM Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center with the funeral service following at 4PM in Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel.
