Steven Siroky

Steven Michael Siroky, 57, passed away unexpectedly on February 26, 2022 at home in Iron Station, NC. He was born on April 16, 1964 in Bronx, New York, to Joseph and Sheila (Linado) Siroky.

Steven grew up in the New York City suburb of Tappan, NY and was a graduate of Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Ramsey, NJ. After high school, Steven pursued higher education at multiple educational institutions, ultimately earning a Master of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Health & Science in San Diego, CA.

As a Licensed Acupuncturist and certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, Steven was a partner at the Art of Acupuncture Wellness Center in Charlotte, NC, where he improved the health and quality of life for many loyal patients over the last 10 years. In addition, his passion and knowledge for his craft left an indelible impression on many of his peers throughout his career.

Steven will be remembered as a gentle and giving person who was an avid lover of the outdoors and all creatures great and small. He loved hard work, a good project, a hearty Italian meal, reading, hiking, classical music, and travelling. A lifelong learner, Steven discovered Buddhism while researching world religions during college, found peace in meditation and studied Buddhist dharma. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Sheila (Linado) Siroky. He is survived by his sisters Kathryn (Michael) Hawley of Raleigh, NC and Theresa Siroky of Atlanta, GA. Additionally, he is survived by his niece and nephew, Caitlin and Christopher Hawley, great-nephews Benjamin and Liam Liotta, as well as his partner, Katrina Horne, and numerous extended family members.
