Suzanne Rolfs

Suzanne Warren Setzer Rolfs, 69 of Kings Road in Hickory, passed away April 27. She was born October 1, 1946, to the late Carl Wesley Warren and Annie Elizabeth Sipe Warren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her only sibling, Rev. Carl Wayne Warren. Surviving are her husband, George A. Rolfs, Jr. of the home; her children, Randy Setzer and wife Kimbrelly of Hickory, and Courtney Setzer of Statesville; her grandchildren, Logan Setzer of Hickory, Chayce Setzer of Boone, Christopher Setzer of Newton, and Kirstin Setzer and husband Mark Heavner of the home; and great grandchildren, Bentley and MaKayla Heavner of the home. She was a graduate of Hickory High School and attended CVCC, where she studied bookkeeping. For many years she was an administrative assistant for the Catawba County Guardian ad Litem program. She was an active member of the Hickory First Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, having served in numerous callings, including Stake Relief Society President for the Hickory N.C. Stake. Family and friends are invited to gather together on Tuesday, May 3, from 6 to 8 PM for an informal program with food, music, brief eulogies and celebration at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4065 N. Center Street, Hickory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either of two non-profits: Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region (www.hpccr.org) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
