Sylvia Jean Andrews 62 of Connelly Springs died Saturday February 15th, 2014 at Carolina Specialty Hospital in Pineville, NC. Born July 28th, 1951 she was the daughter of the late John Henry Johnson and Mabel Mae Johnson Lowe. She was a devoted Christian, loved Gospel music and was a member of Shoup's Grove Baptist Church. She loved to create flower decorations for her family and friends. She loved babysitting children and she was an avid collector of anything "cow." Two sons, Scott Edward Brank and fiance Crystal Clark of Rhodhiss, NC and Charles "Chuck" Ray Brank, III and wife April of Icard, NC; a sister, Linda Hudson and husband Fred of Hildebran; two step sisters, Ruby Lowe of Sawmills and Lorene Lowe of Virginia; a step brother, Steve Lowe; a sister-in-law, Rachel Watson of Hildebran; three nieces, Charlene Patton Michelle Haas and Becky Hudson and a nephew, Nathan Hudson; a great niece, Mallory Weaver; three grandchildren, Scott Brank, Jr. and Abby Rene Brank and Jeffery Autrey survive her. A brother, David Johnson and a sister, Nancy Varnadoe preceded her in death. A Celebration of Sylvia's life will be 5:00pm Tuesday February 18th, 2014 at Shoup's Grove Baptist Church with Pastor J.C. Bradley officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-5:00 pm at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
