Terry Miles

Terry Lee Miles 71 of Hickory died Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born November 8th, 1949 she was the daughter of Ora Wesley Miles and Margaret Lucille Miles. Her family was the most important part of her life. She was the glue and entertainer of the family and would be a friend and mother to anyone needing her loving care. She enjoyed playing cards and cooking; nobody left her house hungry.

A daughter, Tina Miles of Hickory; three brothers, Thomas Miles and wife Anita of Hickory, Mervin Miles and wife Glenda of Atlanta, Georgia and Alvin "Sherwood" Miles and wife Carla of Greensboro; a sister, Phyllis Taylor of Hickory; two grandchildren, Joseph Brown, III of Hickory and Janaria Nash and husband Dyrell of Mint Hill; great grandchildren, Dyrell Nash, Jr. and DyJavien Nash and a special daughter, Michelle Odum; two special sons, Al Henry and Joseph Brown, II; a special niece, Samantha McDaniel; nephews, William Todd Miles and Johnny Miles; a great nephew, Aaron Miles and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles survive her.

In addition to her parents, two sisters, Doris Knox and Patrice M. Williams; a nephew, Edgar Miles preceded her in death.

Terry Miles will lie in wake from 6:00PM- 8:00PM Friday July 9th, 2021 at Thomas Chapel AME Zion Church. The funeral will be 5:00 pm Saturday July 10, 2021in the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home with Rev. Dwayne Tutt officiating.
