Thelma Miller

Thelma Louise Miller, 85 of Conover died Monday, May 29th, 2017 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born June 22, 1931 she was the daughter of the late David Miller and Pearl Price Miller. A member of Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, she retired from Sherrill Furniture. In her early years she loved to create black and white sketches. She was a friend to everyone and loved her family unconditionally.   Her daughter, Cheryl Bollinger Hedrick and husband Don of Claremont and a son, Michael Bollinger of Conover and five grandchildren, Robbie Bollinger, Mike Bollinger, Kevin McGee, Philip Hedrick and wife Vickie and Patti Hedrick Daniels and husband Don; two great grandchildren, Christina Hedrick and Michael Smevog;  two great grandchildren, Michael McGee and Ethan Lail; four great-great grandchildren, Ben Bollinger, Parker Bollinger, Juliana Smevog, Jocelyn Smevog and numerous nieces and nephews survive her. Two brothers, Earl Miller and Gene Miller and a grandson, Brent Hedrick preceded her in death. The funeral will be 11:00AM Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. Dr. Gary Royals officiating. Burial will follow at Brookford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00am at the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to Catawba County Humane Society 3224 20th Ave SE, Hickory, NC 28602 and to First United Methodist Church Building Fund 410 1st Ave N, Conover, NC 28613.
