Theodore Mcrae

Theodore Alexander McRae, Jr., 70 of Hickory died Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born Tuesday, May 20th, 1952. He was the son of Theodore Alexander McRae, Sr., and Idaa Mae McRae. Theodore had five children who preceded him in death; Roose (daughter); Teresa (daughter); Rodney (son); Charles (son); and Terry (son). He was also preceded in death by Rosa Mary McRae (sister), and Charles McRae (brother) from Hickory and Bernard (brother) from Dunn.

Theodore is survived by Virginia Taylor McRae, wife of the home, and Sylvester McRae, brother, of South Carolina. He is also survived by Goldie McRae, stepmother, and her children; his sisters Clay, Jeannette, Latoria, Wanda and brothers, Randy and Michael of Dunn, North Carolina.

Theodore loved to fish; he had a wonderful personality and will be greatly missed by his family, neighbors and friends. He will especially be missed by his five grandchildren, two great grandchildren. and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 1:30 PM at Thomas Prayer House, in Vale, North Carolina. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 1:30 at the church just prior to the service. Pastor Eloise Farley will be officiating. Internment will follow in the church cemetery.
