Thomas Dobbs

Thomas Wade Dobbs, 43 of Red Tail Drive, Conover died Friday, November 13, 2009 at his residence. Born August 8, 1966, he was the son of Kenneth Dale Dobbs, Sr. of Columbus, Georgia and Cornelius Frances Kaylor Dobbs of Maggie Valley, NC.  He was a member of Lawingâ??s Chapel Baptist Church in Maiden. He was employed with Hickory Chair. He loved interacting with his children & grand-children and was an avid billiards player, winning several city tournaments. In addition to his parents, his wife; Cheryl Lynette Ikerd Dobbs of the home, two daughters; Heather Nicole Arnette of Columbia, SC and Shelby Nicole Dobbs of the home; two sons, Justin James of Conover and Logan Christopher Dobbs of the home; two sisters, Jennifer Ann Parker of Salem, Alabama and Melissa G. Little of Maggie Valley; a brother, Louis Dobbs of Columbus, Georgia and four grand-children survive him. The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2009 at Lawingâ??s Chapel Baptist Church in Maiden with Rev. Marion Powell officiating. Burial will be private in the Church Cemetery.
