Thomas Alexander Smith, 74, of Newton, died Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Born October 23rd, 1946 he was the son of the late Alexander Smith and Flora Virginia Smith.
His wife Wanda Kay Smith; children, Jennifer Wike and husband Casey and Tommy Smith and wife LeAnne; grandchildren Kaitlyn, John, Cohen, Jacob and Parker; siblings, Carol Currie and husband William, JoAnne Hopkins and husband Mike and Kathy Moore and husband Jeff; sister-in-law Janice Swails and husband Jerry survive him. Also surviving his passing include many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, granddaughter Lyndsey preceded him in death.
The funeral will be 3:30 PM Monday, September 27, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rob Helton officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM-3:00 PM Monday, September 27, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center.
