Timothy Adams

September 22, 1958 — April 30, 2024

Timothy James Adams, 65, of Hickory passed away Tuesday, April 30th, 2024 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Born, September 22nd, 1958 he was the son of the late James Mitchell Adams and Jeanetta Lee Stallings. Tim worked as a long haul truck driver for most of his life, and spent the past ten years at Ideal Transport, Inc. He was dedicated to his work and took pride in providing for his family. He had a love for western horses and his John Deer Tractor that was known to all who knew him. He cherished spending time with his loving wife and family and will truly be missed by all of his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Toni Adams of the home; his son, Timothy Jerome Adams (Amanda); his sisters, Felicia Adams Warlick (Greg McWhirter), Cassie Canipe (Johnny), and  Janet Stallings (Cheryl Bogle); his grandchildren, Jodi Adams, Blake Adams, Aubrey Fleming, and Allee Adams; his great-grandchildren, Kinley, Kamdyn, Grayson, Teagan, Carter, Charley, Cohen, Emerie, and Brayleigh.

In addition to his parents, James Mitchell Adams and Jeanetta Lee Stallings, he is preceded in death by his brother, Tony Jerome Adams.

The family will receive friends 11am-12pm Tuesday May 7, 2024 at Jenkins Funeral Home with the service following at 12pm with Pastor Matthew Roper officiating. Burial will follow in Jenkins Funeral Home Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Janet Stallings, Johnny Canipe, Jeff Smith, Blake Adams, John Stanley, and Mark Johnston.
