Timothy Sherrill

Timothy Howard Sherrill, Sr, 61 of Lindsay Dr. Iron Station died Tuesday November 4, 2008 at Levine and Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. Born June 26, 1947 in Catawba County he was the son of Bettie Shuford Sherrill of Newton and the late Fred Hauk Sherrill, Jr. He was an employee of Tempkin Bearings. His wife Sharon Armstrong Sherrill of the home; three daughters, Rebecca Sherrill Speagle of Newton, Shelly Scronce and her husband Sam of Newton and Angela Sherrill Rembert and her husband, Aaron of Mars Hill; a step-daughter, Heather Nicole Clark of Stanley; a son, Timothy Howard Sherrill, Jr. of Hickory; and 6 grandchildren, Amber and Taylor Speagle, Madison and Zachary Speagle, Alyx Scronce and Raegon Grace Rembert survive him. In addition to his father, his paternal grandparents, Fred and Lilly Sherrill and maternal grandparents, Harry and Minnie Shuford preceded him in death. The funeral will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gene Bruce officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County.
