Tonya Short

Tonya Leann Propst 48 of Newton died Friday, January 29, 2021, at her home. Born, January 6th, 1973 she was the daughter of Tony Wayne Towery and Sharon Rebecca Mauney.
Tonya, was a loving and caring Mother, Daughter, Sister, Grandmother, and lastly a friend. She enjoyed the beach, family gatherings, and her hairless cats Asher and Enok, as well as much more. She was devoted to the lord as she would say “I am Gods favorite child”. She touched many hearts with her spunky outgoing personality.

In addition to her parents, Her stepfather Mark Mauney, her daughter Audriana Hunsucker and son in law Daniel Hunsucker, Her son Landon Towery and daughter in law Jeanette Jimenez, Her daughter Makayla Propst, Her son Jaylen Propst, Her son Jashon Propst, Her sister Hope Kennedy, Her grandchildren Kashton Sims, Lilly Jimenez, and Isaac Jimenez survive her. Her grandmother Mary Ann Ball and Niece Quaj’uae Alexus Kennedy preceded her in death.

A Celebration of Life will be on February 9th, 2021 at 11:00 am. At Jenkins Funeral Home.4081 Startown Rd, Newton, NC 28658
