Tonya Wise

Tonya Rhonette Wise, 59, of Connelly Springs died Thursday, December 28, 2023, at UNC Health Blue Ridge. Born December 9th, 1964, she was the daughter of the late Tony Ray Dishman and Virginia O Dishman.

She loved the beach and camping with her friends and family at the lake. She adored her dog, Uma, and her beautiful grandkids. She loved adventures, traveling, and tanning by the pool. She had a love for horses and writing notes. Tonya enjoyed watching tv shows and movies with her family and playing games like Township on her phone. Tonya and her daughter, Kelly, would spend hours together talking every day after work. Tonya was an amazing mother and grandmother, and Kelly states her mother continually told me she was proud of me and reminded her how strong she was.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kelly Chavis of the home, brother, Timothy Dishman, and her three grandchildren Elizabeth Mason, Mia Chavis, and Christian Chavis. She also leaves behind her beloved service dog, Uma.

Her son, Dustin Gross, brothers, Scott Dishman and Bo Dishman preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends from 4-5 PM Wednesday January 3, 2024, at Jenkins Funeral Home, Celebration Center.
