Traci Eva (Jackson) Brock was born April 23, 1979 in Cortland, NY and passed May 4, 2021, in Sherrills Ford NC. While clearly she is gone too soon, Traci packed a full life in her brief time.
Traci was educated at Seabreeze High, Daytona Beach, Salem College, North Carolina, and Penn State. Her intelligence led her to recall lyrics after hearing them once and lended to a quick wit & comebacks rarely seen and sure to be missed. Traci spent many years & excelled in the car rental industry where she was often rewarded with trips for her leadership. More recently Traci had enjoyed working in the offices of local Marinas near her home on Lake Norman, NC. Traci was the youngest of 3, sharing countless special times with her sister Rahmi, brother Kyle, as well as her brother in law Rich over the years. Her niece Amanda was an addition that Traci embraced, creating life long memories for both. A recent light in Traci's life has been the addition of Kyle's son Zion, 3. He brought lots of smiles to Traci since his arrival on the scene. Traci was lucky to have the best grandparents anyone could ask for as well as Aunts, Uncles and lots of cousins. A favorite of Traci's was the Jackson Family Marshmallow fights which ended in fits of laughter every time. Traci was the daughter of Debbie Deady Jackson and the late Ken Jackson, both previously of Oswego NY. Traci and her father shared an exceptionally strong bond, as she frequently leaned on him for guidance prior to his passing 4 years ago. Debbie also introduced a new light to the family, her fiancé Gary, whom Traci took to quickly and was ecstatic to stand in their wedding being held on May 13th. Gary had shown a kindness to Traci that she very much appreciated, being a rock to her in difficult times Traci, much to her fathers chagrin, grew to be an avid Yankees Fan. Coming from a baseball centric family of rabid Red Sox-ers she stood her ground, learned her stats and proudly took the “Baseball Commissioner Award” a few years going, a coveted family honor. Traci was also a funny girl, always quick with miles of jokes no one else would ever remember like she did. She also did humorous things like stroll her cats around in their carriages like they were her children, getting a kick out of the peoples faces when they took a peek inside. Traci, being a spirited girl who loved a good time, shared those times with lots of close & long term friends. She treasured her friendships and appreciated the support she received over the years. Traci tended to be torn between life in the Northeast and the South, moving back and forth a few times. She finally found “her place” in Sherrills Ford, NC on the edge of lake Norman. It is here Traci lived with her husband, Stacy. Stacy stayed by Traci's side till end, where ultimately she passed peacefully in his arms in the early afternoon of May 4, 2021.Traci was Christian and a strong believer, therefore she surely rests today in the arms of Angels. Find your peace Traci, you will be loved & missed always.
