Treva Rouse

Treva H. Rouse, age 87, of Conover, NC passed away on Sunday, March 10th, 2024. She was born on February 11th, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Earnest Hicks and Viola Brewer.

Treva was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her son Brett Rouse (Jessica Fields), grandson Joshua Rouse (Sydney), granddaughter Caroline Rouse, as well as many nieces, nephews from Catawba and Wilkes Counties. Numerous friends, and family members. She was preceded in death by her sisters Janet Davis and Carol Gravely, and brothers James Hicks and Woodrow Hicks.

Treva worked as an Administrative Assistant and was known for her feisty and God-loving nature. She was a regular attending member of Life Point (Huntington Hills Church of God) and Oxford Baptist Church until failing health. She never met a stranger and was always seen outside tending to her flowers and vegetable garden. She enjoyed canning vegetables, making her famous chocolate pie, and watching airplanes with her son, and indulging in her favorite foods: pizza and chocolate cake.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 2pm in the Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm at Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Treva will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in peace.
