Thank you in advance for visiting and participating in the drive-thru visitation. While it may feel like our world is on pause with social distancing restrictions during the recent COVID-19 pandemic; we realize that grief does not pause. More than ever our families need to know they are loved and being thought of during difficult times of isolation; that is what we at Jenkins Funeral Home have worked hard to do for them. One such way to still provide comfort is the implementing of safe drive-thru visitations, which use limited contact and social distancing protocols.
For families suffering a loss, social distancing creates isolation. It is those attending that implies "we are here for you." Even if the family did not expect to see you, It is your presence that helps make these difficult times easier. It shows a family they are not alone. While these families may not be able to feel that compassionate hug from a car window, they will still be able to feel the love and support from the faces of their friends when they attend a drive-thru visitation ceremony. These mere moments will be treasured and will provide lifelong reassurance for those in mourning, that they are not alone.
