Biography Viena Isabel Crosby, 99 of Hickory died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at her home. Born June 24, 1912 in Aynor, SC, she was the daughter of the late Henry Doyle and Elizabeth Rabon Doyle.
Viena loved her husband and family and grew up attending Cool Springs Methodist Church in Aynor. She was also a member of Whiting Community Church in Maine and was a long time member of the Whiting Quilters Club.
A daughter, Elizabeth Crosby Michael and husband Jesse of the home; a son, Dr. Harold W. Crosby Jr. and wife Carey of Whiting, ME; two sisters, Alene Huggins of Loganville, GA and Jenevieve Bestermann of Myrtle Beach, SC and a grand-son, William Crosby survive her.
In additon to her husband, Harold W. Crosby, Sr.; a brothers, Favious, R.E. and Gene Doyle preceded her in death.
The funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2013 at McClure Family Funeral Home in Machais, Maine. Burial will follow in Whiting Cemetery in Whiting, Maine. Pastor John Sprague will officiate.
