Virgil Price

Virgil James Price 87 of Claremont died Monday November 26, 2012 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born September 19, 1925, he was the son of the late Clyde Clayton Price and Ada Ilease Perry Price. A US Navy Veteran, he was a loving father and grand-father. He retired from Broyhill Furniture after 50 years of service. A daughter, Kathryn Price Reece and husband Ken of Troutman; two sons, Gary Dale Price and wife Virginia of Conover and Steve Price of Claremont; two brothers, Norman Lee Price and wife Sara of Newton and Tommy Ray and wife Sandra of Conover; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren survive him. His Beloved wife of 63 years, Vena Mae Robbins Price; three sisters, Alice Price, Clayton Lackey, and Mary Watts; two brothers, James and Roy Price preceded him in death. The funeral will be 2:00 pm Thursday November 29th, 2012 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. Dr. Stephen R. Disher officiating. Burial will follow at Conover Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Thursday November 29, 2012 at the funeral home prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the home of his son, Gary Dale Price, 1211 Fairgrove Church Road, Conover, NC 28613.
