Virl Rowe

Virl Steve Rowe, 67 of Hickory died Wednesday March 13, 2013 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born February 8, 1946, he was the son of the late Virl Franklin and Catherine Iona Helton Rowe. Previous wife Martha Yount Rowe survive him; two daughters, Leslie & husband Jody Gantt of Bluffton, SC and Kathy and Tommy Farley of Taylorsville, NC; a son, Mark Rowe of Hickory; also a daughter Stefanie B. Rowe of Hickory; two sisters, Linda and husband Rick, Stevens of Mountain View and Janice Rowe of Hickory; three brothers, Larry and wife Loye Rowe of Mountain View, Wayne Rowe of Bethlehem and Darrell and wife Delette Rowe of Sherrills Ford; 12 grand-children and three great grand-children; two step-daughters, Ronda Kelly of Hickory and Tammy Slape of Hickory survive him. His wife, Deborah Pennington and brother, Virgil Rowe preceded him in death. The funeral will be 2:00 pm Saturday March 16, 2013 at The Salvation Army Church with Caption Mike Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm -1:45 pm, Saturday, March 16, 2013 at The Salvation Army.
