Wanda Smith

Wanda Kay Smith, 73, of Newton died Saturday, December 31, 2022 at TerraBella Newton. Born December 20th, 1949 she was the daughter of the late Bruce Odell Covington and Roxie Louise Covington. She was a graduate of Rohanan Senior High School. and was a member of St. Paul's Reformed Church.

Her son, Thomas Alexander Smith II (LeAnne) and their children, Kaitlyn, Cohen and Parker; her daughter, Jennifer Smith Wike (Casey) and their children, John and Jacob; sister, Janice Swails and husband Jerry; bonus siblings, Kathy Moore (Jeff), JoAnne Hopkins (Mike) and Carol Currie (William) and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews survive her.

In addition to her parents, her husband of 56 years, Thomas Alexander Smith, granddaughter, Lyndsey Smith and brother Ron Covington preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 4, 2022 at St. Paul's Reformed Church with Pastor Rob Helton officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
