Wilburn Hahn

Wilburn Franklin Hahn, 75 of Newton died Friday, January 30th, 2015 at Kings Mountain Hospital. Born February 1st, 1939, he was the son of the late Horace Dewey Hahn and Clara Bell Bolick Hahn. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. Two sons, Jimmy Hahn of Newton and Billy Hahn and wife Gail of Georgia; three daughters, Wanda Gunter and husband Tony of Bessemer City, Lori Larson of Newton and Teresa Ward and husband Jeff of Newton; a sister, Ann Miller of Newton; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews survive him. In addition to his wife Margie Hahn; two brothers, Harold Hahn and George Hahn preceded him in death. The funeral will be 3:30pm Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Augustana Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Gaven M. Mize. Burial will follow at Augustana Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery with military graveside rites provided by the American Legion Post 16 and The Marine Corps League, Catawba Valley Detachment 1163. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:30pm Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the church. Memorials may be made to Augustana Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1523 16th Street SE, Hickory, NC 28602.
