Willa Bost

Willa Deane Bost, 87 of Newton, passed away Wednesday, August 10th, 2016 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born September 13th, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Butler Cook and Edna Cook. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. After caring for her children, she went back to school at Lenoir Rhyne University to get her education degree. She graduated as valedictorian of her class in 1963. She received her Masters at Appalachian State University. She was also an active member of the Delta Kappa Gamma, Nu Chapter education society. She was a life long member of Concordia Lutheran Church. She was very active in the church choir and Dorcas Society. Left to cherished her memories are her children, Stephen Bost wife Belinda; daughter Nancy LeGore husband Bob; Grandchildren, Jennifer Vetter husband Adam, Bradley Bost wife Miranda, Rob LeGore wife Andrea, Brian LeGore; great grandchildren, Brayton Vetter and Josslyn Vetter; nieces and nephews, In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Crawford Bost after 65 years of marriage; sister, Luella Wichman; Brothers, Alvin Cook, Marion B. Cook JR. The funeral will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, August 14th, 2016 at Concordia Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Schudde and Pastor Ben Micheel officiating. Burial will follow at the Saint Paul's Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm-1:45 pm Sunday, August 14th, 2016 at Concordia Lutheran Church prior to the service.
