William Fields

William Douglas â??Billyâ? Fields, Jr. of Newton died Friday August 14, 2009 at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley. He was born December 11, 1953 in West Virginia he was the son of the late William Douglas Fields, Sr. and Virginia Alice Woods. Billy was a veteran of the US Air Force as a Communication Specialist, he was employed by Advent Technologies in Irving TX for 12 years, loved working with computers and had a talent for painting and drawing. A sister, Tammy Pope of Newton; four brothers, Ronnie Fields of Lenore, WVA, Gordon Fields of Semmes, AL, Randy Fields of Turkey Creek, KY and Bruce Fields of Semmes, AL survive him. The funeral will be 8:00 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Jenkins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Startown-Jenkins Cemetery.
