William Halsey

March 30, 1955 — November 1, 2020

William Hersey Halsey 65 of Iron Station died Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Atrium Health Lincoln. Born Wednesday, March 30th, 1955 he was the son of the late Harry J. Halsey and Rose Marie Halsey.  He was a member of the Christian Faith,  he was a Navy Vietnam Veteran, a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 132 in WV 2010-2020. He loved guns, his dogs and motorcycles.

His sister, Juanita Mae Dooley and husband, Joe of Summersville, WV; a brother-in-law, Greg Hatfield of Ballard, WV; three nephews, Jeff Hatfield of Princeton, WV, Joshua Hatfield of Ballard, WV, Aaron Dooley of Roanoke, VA; three nieces, Mindy Dooley of High Point, NC, Jodie Teaters of Christiansburg, VA, Nikki Foster of Greensboro survive him.

His wife of 30 years, Neil Halsey and a sister, Anice Hatfield preceded him in death.
