William Stewart Jennings 73 of Hickory died Monday, May 9th, 2016 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born October 30th, 1942 he was the son of Norman Jennings and Frances Jennings. He was employed by Kraft Foods for over 25 years. A passion for music, he was a composer, writer and singer. He was a life-long member of ASCAP, he owned and operated a recording studio and was president of the local musicians union. He was a published composer with his music being featured in numerous movies and commercials. His wife of 49 years, JoAnn Jennings of the home; a son, Christopher W. Jennings of Hickory; two grandsons, Nicolas and Brandon Jennings of Hickory; a sister, Barbara Rastall of Lanoka Harbour, NJ and numerous nieces and nephews survive him. A daughter, Cara Rose Jennings preceded him in death. The funeral will be In Plainfield, NJ. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Plainfield.
