William "Rusty" Byrum

William Russell (Rusty) Byrum, 63, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2024 at Carolina Caring Sherrills Ford Hospice House in Sherrills Ford NC from the effects of chronic health conditions. He was born on July 7, 1960, in Charlotte NC. He was the son of the late Robert Wilson Byrum and Jean Carrigan Byrum. He worked for the family business, Byrum Concrete Construction until his retirement in 2021.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jan DuFour Byrum, brother Jeffrey Blair Davis, sister Terri Kane and lots of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Those left to cherish his memory are brothers, Wendell Byrum, David Byrum (Sara), Tim Byrum and Brian Byrum as well as nieces, great-niece, nephews and friend Karen.

Rusty was of the Methodist faith. At the request of Rusty, there will be no visitation or funeral service. At a later date, the family will gather for a celebration of life.
