William Setzer

April 28, 1938 — January 31, 2021

William "Bill" Setzer, 82, of Claremont died Sunday, January 31, 2021 after a brief illness. Born April 28th, 1938 he was the son of Preston and Betty Setzer. He was loved deeply by his wife, Carol Biggs Setzer and his children, Page, "Skip", Lisa, Melanie and April. He had six grandchildren, Chelsea, Chad, Andrew, Christopher, Alyssa and Amber and seven great-grandchildren, Jayden, Bralyn, Emily, Mason, Ava, Luke and Alani. He had one fur baby, Hoss.

He served his country in the United Stated Air Force from 1955-1961. He loved Jesus first and foremost and also loved music, growing flowers and Redskins football. He had a very gentle spirit and loved animals. He had a profound viewpoint of life and a huge sense of humor.

He was a lineman for the City of Newton in the 1970's and retired from Lance Transport in the year 2000 where he drove a truck. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by many.

A celebration of his life will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral home. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
