William Wilkinson

William Roosevelt "Rosie" Wilkinson, 81 of Lincolnton died Tuesday, November 11th, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center in Lincolnton. Born April 29th, 1933 he was the son of the late Robert Wilkinson and Etta Robinson Wilkinson. He worked at Bandy's High School as a custodian and worked in the furniture industry for over 40 years. His wife of 19 years, Dorothy "Dot" Hamrick Wilkinson of the home; a son, Dale Wilkinson and wife Billie of Newton; three daughters, Cora LaFevers and husband Danny of Newton, Jean (Renee) Long and husband Randy of Conover and Janice "Susie" Canrobert of Newton; three step daughters, Jennie Fentress and husband Robert of Winston-Salem, Jill Hamrick of Marion and Joy Fulford of Raleigh; a step son, Todd Hamrick of Stillwater, OK; a nephew, Richard Poole of Catawba, NC; eight grandchildren and eight great grand-children survive him. The funeral will be 10:00 am Friday, November 14th, 2014 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Correll officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery on Little Mountain Road in Catawba. The family will receive friends from 9-10:00 am Friday, November 14th, 2014 at Jenkins Funeral Home.
