Willie Lee Bowman 93 of Newton passed away Tuesday, July 31st, 2018 at Trinity Village. Born July 31st, 1925 she was the daughter of the late John Roper and Dovie Smith Roper. She was the long time owner of Bowman's Grocery.
Randy Allen Bowman and wife Renee Bowman of Vale, Daughter-in-law Margo Kistler Bowman of Granite Falls, three grand children, Jason Ryan Bowman and wife Candy Ann Bowman of Taylorsville, Daniell Bowman Setzer and husband Monty of Hickory, and Kristian Leann Bowman of Johnson City, Tennessee, and three great grandchildren survive her.
Husband Leroy Bowman and sons, Roy Steven Bowman and Danny Marlin Bowman preceded her in death.
The funeral will be 4:00 pm Monday, August 6th, 2018 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm-4:00 pm Monday, August 6th, 2018 at Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home .
Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans of Hickory. 4113 Hickory Nut Ridge, Hickory NC 28638
