Willie Downs

Willie Grayson Downs, 77 of Lincolnton died Wednesday, February 25th, 2015 at his residence. Born September 15th, 1937, he was the son of the late Alvie Louis Downs and Vangie Lee Hudson Downs. Willie retired from Null Industries, Maiden and was also employed for a number of years by Firestone Textiles and Haworth/Comforto. In addition to his life companion of 32 years, Sue Bradley of the home; three sons, Dayl Downs and wife Christine of Dallas, Ronald Downs and wife Tammy of Lincolnton, Robert Downs of Lincolnton; two brothers, Alvie Downs of Stanley and Dwight Downs of Iron Station and the mother of his children, Barbara Henderson Downs of Lincolnton survives him. Willie is preceded in death by his two sisters Ruth Canipe, and Nadine "Dean" Millard; and two brothers Clyde Downs and Verlon Downs. Per Mr. Downs request, there will be no service.
