Yeng Yang

Yeng Yang, 46 of Connelly Springs passed on August 6, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center-Charlotte. Born on December 31, 1968 in Laos, Yeng was the son of Chong Neng Yang and Yer Thao. Yeng immigrated to the United States with his parents and siblings in 1986 and lived in Minnesota for two years. They would move to Fresno, California where he met and married the love of his life, Youa Vue. In 1997, Yeng moved his family to North Carolina and began working for Neptco in Granite Falls as a machine operator for 18 years. Yeng was much respected and a prominent member in his family?s organization, Yang Phou Pheng. At one point he held the position of being in charge of the North Carolina chapter and was tasked with handling family disputes and coordinating family gatherings. Yeng enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, and raising livestock. Those who knew Yeng constantly had wonderful things to say about him and described him as being always a happy and cheerful individual to be around with. Yeng is survived by his wife, Youa; sons, Chai and Frank; daughter, Pada; father, Chong Neng; mother, Yer; brothers, Cher Pao, Nao Chue, Kor, Jer, and Seng; sisters, Yia, Goa, and Ka; and grandchildren, Kaylin and Calvin. The funeral will begin Friday, August 21, 2015 and conclude Sunday, August 23rd, 2015 at Startown Gathering Center & Pavilion at Jenkins Funeral Home in Newton.
